CMA Leaders Scholarship

Wednesday, 4 September 2013 | Queensland

CMA is Awarding up to $100,000 to strategic ministry leaders in 2013!

Christian leadership is part character, part gifting, and part science. Many of the skills and attributes that are required of an effective leader can be taught, and learned. The CMA Leaders Scholarship has been established to provide opportunities for ministry leaders to access world-class training. We want to see the very best organisational knowledge and skills available being applied to the furtherance of the Gospel!

Jesus left his church with a great commandment, and a great commission. In the 21st century, one of the primary structures we use to live out our obedience to Jesus' teaching is that of Christian organisations. Whether a single local congregation, a formal gathering of congregations, or a dedicated agency with a Christian mission at its core, organisations are effective ways of multiplying the effort of Christian individuals. And effective organisations need effective leaders, at every level.

In 2012, scholarships totalling over $20,000 were awarded. In 2013, the program is expanding, and changing to a half-scholarship, with a foundation matching $ for $ up to $100,000. This means that applicants are required to find or raise 50% of the course fee, with the remaining 50% being met by the CMA Scholarship. In a very small number of cases, individuals or organisations who cannot find the 50% may be supported by the Chairman's Scholarship.

Scholarships will be awarded based on the following criteria http://www.cma.net.au/scholarship/criteria.php - get your application in by 30 September 2013.
